Cool game - and good job implementing the day and night cycle!
My main criticism is that the levels are quite simple? I think adding more levels early on with multiple obstacles would help the pacing a bit :)

Thanks
Fun game - it starts off really well. Towards the end tho it felt like the only way to progress was to just randomly pair everything together - I got to 31 then got bored and gave up. I would maybe take a look at the progression through the game, and maybe implement some help for players
Thanks for playing the game and providing feedback! Just updated the game taking your feedback into consideration! If you would like, please try again!
Really fun game! My only issue is that when I tried to play with the arrow keys it was really unresponsive? I think that might be a bug.
Otherwise I love the style and the presentation!
No it is not a bug, the car steers up/left/down/right. You can also use Z-X for other control style.
Thanks for the review!
Great game! I love the idea behind it and the animation/pixel art is great!
Good job :)
This game is gross lol
Great game - would love to see an expanded version with more levels :)
Loaded for a long time then froze on the logo.
Edit: Got it working - the games visuals etc look great - the issue is it doesn't seem to work very well on newgrounds atm. When I click up or down in the game, it performs the move but also moves the Newgrounds page - hopefully that can be fixed!
press "enter" ....
edit: you have many control preset in options screen for the in game gameplay,
i note the arrow make conflicts for menu, i try to solve it with logique control soon, thx
;)
Is it meant to be almost pitch black? I understand adding some atmosphere but genuinely I could barely figure out where the player sprite was for most of the play through!
Otherwise I think it looks interesting but I had to stop playing because of the lighting...
Hey RainyG, it shouldn't be so dark that you're not able to see inside the "bubble" of light that the torch gives off.
It looks fine on the monitors I tested it on but you're not the first person to say this was an issue so I'm working on getting a brightness adjust at the beginning of the game ASAP. If you'd like I could send you a DM when I drop the update so you could give it a second shot.
Good start for a game! I'm a big fan of breakout style gameplay so I think this could be really good!
My issue is that the physics in the game didn't feel great. The way the paddle builds acceleration as it moves feels more like an input delay which was a bit frustrating.
The same goes for the ball physics. At times it would bounce near horizontally, leaving me just waiting for nearly 20 seconds before I could bounce it again. Other times it was so fast that keeping up with it using the delayed paddle felt nearly impossible. (and this was level 1)
My other note would be that on a computer screen, you can't see the whole game at one time which makes it hard to play too.
I think the graphics are cool - if you playtested it more and got the game feel right I think this could be a lot of fun!
Cool start to a game! I thought the sound and fade out when you opened the door worked really well tonally - would love to see a finished version of this!
